It's Not Me, It's You

Yep, I am.
After much thought and considerable hemming and hawing, I was recently quilted nagged convinced to break down and get my own self-hosted blog. The pros far outweighed the cons on finally making the eventual move. In case anyone else just might be on the fence, I’ve decided to create a short list of the good and the bad:
self-hosted, blog, pros, cons
Source: TToombs08
Now that my new blog has been up and I’ve slowly started posting there, I’ll be closing the doors here and eventually moving everything to the new home at:

Alaska
My new home.
I cordially invite you to join me there. Stop by, check the place out, and let me know what you think. While you’re snooping around, I would encourage you to read my Welcome message to give you an idea of what I’m planning with the new blog.

Thank you for reading me here, and I hope you enjoy reading me even more at my new site. ~ Terrye

Hawaii or Disneyland?

I could live here.
The benevolent benefactor’s 33rd birthday is this fall. It’s September 12th to be exact, just in case you wanted to send him a birthday present. If you are one of his family members that like to pretend that he doesn’t exist, here’s a list of things you could pretend you sent him: He’s been whining about wanting a new ‘rodeo wallet’ because the last one no longer holds any of the things it was designed to. He could also use some new t-shirts with smarmy comments on the front with some eye catching graphics. And he always appreciates gift cards (especially from Lowe’s and Home Depot) so he can complete that tool collection he’s been working on since I met him back in 2005.

Crossroads And Crackpots

writing help, blogging, writers, writing prompts, writer's block

Have you ever woken up to face another week and wondered exactly what the hell you're doing? A little nagging, murmuring voice has been slowly getting louder with each passing week. It's to the point I can't ignore it any more. I'm either going insane (some might think I've taken that exit a long time ago) or the self-doubt monster is trying to claw it's way out of the dungeon again.

"What's the point?"
"Why are you still banging your head against the wall?"
"Are you any further along than you were a month ago?"
"What are your short and long term goals?"
"Do you even HAVE any goals?"
"What the hell are you doing?!"

My entry for Wordless Wednesday #8 at Pictimilitude.

This was taken 8/8/2011 during our move from Florida to North Dakota. We had stopped for the night in Nashville, Tennessee. It was too early to go to bed and we wanted to get out and stretch our legs. We stumbled upon an exact replica of the Greek Parthenon in a beautiful park in downtown. For more information on the park and the Parthenon, check this out: A Tennessee Vacation.
