I Won A Wha????

A dear (and possibly misguided) friend of mine bestowed the coveted "Gargie Award" on me.

My first thought was it had something to do with mouth wash. Wasn't I practicing good dental hygiene? And then I saw the picture. "Oh, so I'm as pretty as a gargoyle," was my next thought. I'm still not sure what a Gargie is, but any attention these days is a plus in my book.

I humbly accept and most graciously thank Melissa of Mommy Writings of Daughter of Maat. You are a wonderful being and I am grateful to have you as a friend. You are also a fantastic writer. I am a better person for knowing you.

Like all blogger awards, the Gargie Award comes with a few rules:
  • Display the award badge on your site.
  • Publish a post to inform the world of your great achievement.
  • Nominate some fellow bloggers (who have been outstanding in their field or perhaps who you admire).
  • Indicate to your nominees that they have received the award… provided you have completed step three.
Now on to the FUN part - passing it along. These people I admire and they are outstanding in so many ways:

Cyndi of Pictimilitude.

Emily from OhBoyMom.

Clark, the escapee from The Wakefield Doctrine.

Gina, the queen of my double wide aka The Life I Live...So You Don't Have To!

And last, but hardly least,

Vikki, comedy class act of Laugh-Lines.

Thank you for making every day a better and brighter place. You guys are the best. I can't tell you how peppergasm you are!

  4. Aww congrats to you and very well deserved. I always hate awarding these, because I always want to award everyone, but then that would leave no one to award others. Congrats again :)

  16. Thanks, RC, I think. Maybe it's along the lines of your cookie episode. :) Although, I think I figured out how to bake those when I was a teen. Now a souffle, on the hand....

  18. Karen! Thank you, and I agree. It's an honor to be acknowledged by my fellow writers and really makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something instead of feeling like I'm locked away in some dark, windowless room writing for myself. :) And the bribes seem to be paying off. :D
